One of the reasons I think you should play basketball is because it is a fun sport and it is quite easy to play. While playing basketball your main objective is to score and get the most points. When you play this game it is really exciting and it gives you a feeling that your young and in shape because it gives exercise to your body. The reason I play it is because it keeps me fit and I know if you play it will keep you in shape also.
Another reason I think you should try this sport is because it shows you many things such as cooperation. The reason it shows you cooperation is because in this game you have to pass the ball around and cooperate with your team mates. If you don’t pass the ball then your team will lose because they don’t trust each other. So it teaches you to share which I think is a good value for one person to have.
The next important reason I think you should try it is so you can learn team work. Trust me if you don’t have team work your team will never win. In order to win teamwork has to be apart of the team you must pass, listen to your players and do not hog the ball and try to look like a star because that doesn’t show teamwork at all.
The first thing I’m going to say about this sport is that it is fun and easy to play. Every game has an objective and this one is to get the ball in to the touch down without letting the ball touch the ground. If the ball touches the ground then it is considered dead which means you have to get up and start from where you fell. In football there are four downs that mean you have four chances to get the ball to the touchdown.
Also if you carry the ball to a certain distance you get more time to score. Which is a good thing and for each touchdown you get 6 points and then an extra point if you score again without being stopped. All these things I’m saying about the game are that it is cool and stylish at some moments. Now I’m going to tell you about this thing called the NFL the letters stand for National Football League.
It is basically 32 teams that compete for a trophy and something called Super Bowl ring and the only way you get these trophies is if you’re the best team. In the NFL that is what everybody strides to be. Before you get to this league you have to go to college and get noticed by a scout or someone who can get you into the NFL. So when you go to college that’s when you show all of your skill and hopefully it gets noticed.
The main reason people try so hard to go to the NFL is because they pay you to play and the better you are the more money you get so it’s like the ultimate job. The last thing were going to talk about are my favourite players in football and why. My first person is a man called Champ Bailey he is a wide receiver that’s the person who runs out and tries to catch the ball from a distance. The reason I like him is because when he jumps for that ball it looks so pretty and then as soon as he touches the ground he’s off and know one can catch him.
The next player I’m going to tell you about is a man named Reggie Bush and his position is running back. A running back is the person who waits for the ball then snatches it and tries to make a touchdown. The reason I like this player is because he has fennec and he is the fastest player in the league period to me nobody can catch him because he’s too quick. So I have told you about football I told you the rules, my favorite players and what drives people to play it so you take this information and you try it. To me the best football game is this
Well after 7th grade it was time for 8th so I stared to get ready for it. Some of the things I did to prepare for it was I had to get new clothes so I went to the mall to go clothes shopping and it took me a long time to pick my stuff because I like nice things. So I spotted this Roca Wear collar shirt that I liked a lot and I checked the price tag. And if I forgot to tell you my dad was with me at this moment he was taking me shopping.
Anyway I told my dad the price and he said 64 dollars you’re not getting that shirt but my step mom told him that I deserved one nice shirt so he let me get it. I was really happy that he let me get it because the shirt was so nice and fresh ha. After that I went to go pick out some more outfits that were not 64 dollars but anyway I got another shirt that was nice also it went with the new shoes I was going to get. So after I got all of these new clothes I had to go and get the shoes so that I would look good.
So my dad and I went to the shoe store and I saw some timberlands that I liked and the funny thing was that they were Jamaican colored and they looked pretty good so I bought them. And there was this nice shirt to go with it so I got that to and then I had the whole outfit fresh. When we left the mall we went to a buffet to eat because I was hungry my mom and I recommended a fish store but we just went buffet. It was good it was Chinese so I loved it after that we went to foot locker to get puffy coats so that when it got cold we had something to wear so we bought the coats and proceeded home. When we got home we took all of our new stuff out and went into the house to unpack it.
While I was taking all my things out and putting them into my closet I was just thinking about how I would feel when I went to the 8th grade. I was thinking if it would be hard or easy and I was thinking if it would be easy if I could make friends but I knew that I would make friends because I got along with almost everybody I talk to. When I was done taking out all of my new stuff and putting it in my closet. I went to see if my brother was finish putting his things away and he was. After that I just sat down thinking about what I was going to where because school started in two days and I needed to be prepared so that I wouldn’t miss out on anything. And another thing I was stressing was about making good grades and making my mom and dad happy because they loved when I did well in school. So that was kind of my main goal and that was my main focus period. So when my last day of freedom came I went to sleep early because I couldn’t wait to go to the 8th grade.
Well one of the things I enjoy doing is basketball. The reason I like basketball is because I’m pretty good at it. And I just love the feeling when I play. Something else that I like to is swim because I’m pretty good. And I love water when it hits my body I guess that’s why I take so many showers anyway. I also enjoy track because I’m pretty fast and I just enjoy running. Another I like basketball is because of where it comes from and how it was played back in the day. Back in the day they had to put up fruit baskets and cut holes in the bottom so that the ball would go through.
And that just shows that basketball has come a long way since then. And if you didn’t no a man named James Naismith created basketball. And something else I like to do is listening to music and the artist I prefer is lil Wayne and Young Jeezy. The reason I like them so much is because of there style or swagger as they call it. The way they rap and what they say and I just like it. I like Cassidy da problem to because I like his punch lines to me he’s sort of the punchline king. And if you see me usually I’ll have on my ipod listening to one of the rappers that I have mentioned so look out for me ha-ha. Well I also skate but I’m not that good I just know how to not fall if u no what that means. Something I would like to do is ice skate because I have never been and I can guess that it is harder than regular skating you now roller blades. I want to try skate boarding to I thing that it would be pretty easy but I can’t say until I try so I’m going to try just so I can say I did.
And I used to want to try hockey but its to rough I’m not saying I’m soft but I know that if somebody hits me I’m going to go crazy and try to kill that person I better not try that one if I want to stay out of jail. So I best leave that alone for now. Oh and if I forgot to mention I like to talk a lot if you can’t tell already I don’t know why but I just love to talk some people say it’s a bad thing but I think it’s a good thing because its very easy for me to do things. Like if I’m, in a situation I can talk my way out of it and its real easy for me to make friends because I’m kind of funny so I get along with just about everyone that’s around me. And I think that’s it I think I’ve told you just about everything that I do on a regular basis.
