The Travels Of Sufi Review

I think that this book was very interesting, the main character SHAMSUDIYN is a disciple of one called SHAYKH ABU BAKR.  The reason Shamsudiyn was such a great man was because he was unique in his religion conviction and examination of heart. Throughout the story he met many other wise men that were similair to himself, but he wanted to know more.

He also met a man named Sufi who was one of the wisest men about in his time. Shamsudiyn also travelled around the world, one of the first places he visited, was a place called Bagdad and this is where he met Shaykhawhadud diyn who was from Kirman. But unluckily all this man wanted in the end was an intoxicating drink and this was a suprise to Shamsudiyn,so he left the man because he was a waste of time and all Shamsudiyn wanted was to find a teacher who could bring him closer to  truth.

Shamsudiyn was stressed one night and he got on his knees and prayed to Allah and asked him to reveal one of the hidden beings,Allah replied and told him that the person he is looking for is a man named Jalalud Diynur Ruwmee. But before Allah revealed the hidden beings face to Shamsudiyn he had to sacrifice something and for some reason he chose to sacrifice his head.

Luckily for Shamsudiyn he saw the same man walking through the great market place and he approached the great teacher and said ”Know that I am the money changer of the world”. After he said that Shamsudiyn disappeared and Jalalud didnt know where he had gone. Soon after the first meeting it wasn’t long before they ran into each other again, this was because Shamsudiyn continued his travelling and came across a place called Konya and here was where he found Jalalud Diyn who was a science professor in four different colleges.

Personally those were my best moments of the book.

Overall the book was very fun to read and if you are willing to focus and concentrate then you will enjoy reading this book aswell.
